Team up with AACR Runners for Research at the 2026 Tokyo Marathon to raise awareness and funds for lifesaving cancer research!

The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), and its running team, AACR Runners for Research is a Charity Partner for the 2026 Tokyo Marathon, which takes place on March 1, 2026.

You can join AACR Runners for Research in this race and support lifesaving cancer research. The AACR has given over $545 million in grants to fund the best cancer research in the world, with a goal of ending cancer, once and for all. Thanks to cancer research supported by people like you, more than 4.1 million cancer deaths have been prevented since 1991.

Those selected will get:

  • -Guaranteed entry in the 2026 Tokyo Marathon
  • -Individualized fundraising guidance, resources, and support
  • -A personalized fundraising page to help you meet and exceed your fundraising goals
  • -Official AACR Runners for Research gear

We have a limited number of entries. In exchange for a guaranteed entry to the 2026 Tokyo Marathon, runners pledge to raise a minimum of $5,000 in donations to support AACR’s programs and services. Runners who do not reach the full goal by March 1, 2026 will be required to donate the difference. Runners will be required to cover their own entry fee for the race (~$160) and all personal travel costs.
